Hello there! A big "Thank You" to all those who visited and commented on my last post.
At her school play KP had played the lead part and a few of the mums and staff at the school had commented on her acting ability and so the OH thought that it might be a good idea to find out if any of the theatres local to us ran any courses during the school Summer holidays.
We had of course, as usual, left everything to the last minute but luckily we found that the Theatre Royal in Winchester were running such a course last week.
So each morning last week KP was driven to Winchester for 10.00 a.m. and picked up at 5.00 p.m.
There was a show for all the mums and dads etc. on Friday.
No photos were allowed inside the theatre so I took this photo of KP outside with all her make up, looking very theatrical!
It was amazing to see and hear how all the young performers had learnt the songs and dance routines they performed in such a short space of time.
Grandma and Grandad B came to watch and afterwards we went to the nearby Library for tea and a chocolate ice-cream for KP.
After we got home I took a few photos of KP in her make-up! She is growing up so fast.
KP and George. I wonder where he got that wood from!
Over the weekend we tidied up the back garden and jet washed the patio which was extra dirty as we hadn't been able to wash it since last Summer as a consequence of the hosepipe ban which was in place.
Due to the heavy rainfall the dogs had been running around the garden, in and out of the flowerbeds and then running onto the patio - which made it look mud coloured rather than the slate colour it should be.
As I pulled away at some grass, something jumped in the air which made me jump up too! A closer look revealed this little fella! He didn't hang around for long and who could blame him with those rascal dogs, Charlie and George, liable to spot him at any minute.
George with his toy owl, Ozzy.
Charlie - looking anywhere but at the camera.
He definitely needs a visit to the dog groomers!
Fun time in the garden!
It has been so nice to be able to sit in the back garden eating our lunch and dinner these past few days. The weather forecast for the week ahead is not so good. I only hope that the weatherman has got it wrong.
The Olympics are drawing to a close. Who would have thought that it would be the huge success that it was.
Congratulations to all those athletes who competed and gave it their all. There were some fantastic achievements - Usain Bolt's two gold medals and Mo Farah's too.
Well, that's all for now.
Until next time,
June.
Well done to KP. And wow, you have a hairy dachshund just like mine, but bigger! We have two mini wires living here with the whippets and apart from the size difference Charlie is the spit of our Wilbur. Two gorgeous dogs you have there :D
ReplyDeleteThe theatre holiday activity sounds great - so glad you found one. Love your dogs- Dillon needs a groom too- he's starting to resemble a blond Rasta !
ReplyDeleteHope our toad is still in the garden. When we arrived home from the airport in the night, there was a hedgehog scurrying along the pavement - so lovely.

ReplyDeleteYour doggies look so cute.
The weather does look like it's going downhill this week doesn't it which is a shame.

The theatre course sounds like lots of fun, I'm sure KP will have enjoyed it, especially putting on a show at the end of the week. Your dogs are so cute.
ReplyDeleteOh, KP was just down the road from me. :D
ReplyDeleteI would make a terrible gardner. If I ever see a frog like that in our garden it would take me weeks to get the courage back to go there again.
xx

My little one does the same every Summer for a week - it's such a great way for them to express themselves.

Hi, this was a lovely post. I am so happy that she got to attend this acting workshop. I love it when I hear of parents that encourage their children in the things that most interests them. I was encouraged in the things that my Mom thought was important, rather than where my talents laid. So, Bravo, Mom!!!
ReplyDeleteI gave my Butchy a hair cut the other night . . . he is only two years old and when his hair is fresh cut it brings back the puppy look. I wonder if I got a hair cut . . . would I look younger, too?
Have a marvelous week, and thanks for popping in, I am delighted that you liked my old bucket re-do. Connie :)
marvelous confidence booster.. what a sweetie. Love Helen, Darcy and Bingley xxx
