Hello there! The Photography Course that I am on now is on Tuesdays. The title to this post is a bit of a giveaway! It had been agreed at last weeks class that if the weather was good that we would go to an area near to the leisure centre in Guildford to take some landscape photos. I can't believe that we have lived a 30 minute distance from this place without knowing about it. I quite like some of the photos that I took and so have made a post to include them.
It was great to be able to be out and about and to learn on the hoof as opposed to a classroom setting. I think I learnt far more being out for the whole two hours. There was some walking involved before we got to this area but it just meant that we had a good opportunity to get to know the people on the course better.
Although initially we were to take landscape shots I couldn't resist taking this photo of a Canadian Goose.
I wish that we had taken some bread with us to entice the geese to come closer.
This one seemed content to be carrying a stick on its back. We wondered if it was building a nest somewhere!
We moved away to a boardwalk area.
I liked the bullrushes reflected in the water.
These made me think of Ken Dodd and his diddymen! Showing my age!
This was a wonderful place to while away a few hours and in the distance there were some canal boats. I'm sure that I'll visit this place again - with the family and the dogs.
And a last shot of a pylon. Everybody else in the class was trying to avoid them being in their photos but I've grown to like them!
Until next time,
June.
Lovely photos. How nice to get out of the classroom and learn on the job, it looks like a very peaceful place. Kin Dodd's tickling sticks, now I'm showing my age too.
ReplyDeleteOh the second to last photo with the sun through the blossom is quite lovely.
