An Evening Walk ...In Sunshine!!!

Hello there fellow Bloggers! Well, hasn't the weather turned for the better this week - I only hope it lasts!
Monday evening was a fine evening so what better after our tea than to venture outside to enjoy some of the rare glimpses of the sun! And where better to go than back to the local Water Meadows.

We saw many stinging nettles with these gorgeous coloured flowers! The OH threw George his tennis ball and it landed amongst the nettles! Although George ran into the nettles he couldn't find the ball despite us all shouting "There in front of you, you silly dog!" So the OH waded into the nettles and got stung!

I was hoping to see that the yellow irises had opened - only a very few had and they were too far away!

George retrieves his ball from the water. The first time we came here the stream was almost dry, now George has to swim to get his ball back!

The Water Meadows in all its resplendent glory in the evening sun!

The only yellow irises which were close to hand!

A wet dog! "Come on, what are you waiting for, throw me the ball!"

"Please, please give me the ball!" George is ball mad and would carry it in his mouth all day if he were allowed!

The stream that George dives into to get his ball!

The sun gets lower in the sky!

A snail on a dock leaf! Snails - they get everywhere!

On the way home we spotted this - Do you see the terrier on the roof! I want one! And isn't that a fabulous front door!

All too soon we were at our very own front door!
Time for a cup of tea and a biscuit!

Until next time,

June.

P.S. A big "Hello" to a new follower, Julie at http://www.forestpoppy.blogspot.co.uk/

  2. What a lovely walk. We have sunshine just now, and I'd love to get out for a walk and enjoy it but John is away and the kids are in bed - so I guess I'd better not!

  4. What a wonderful walk, it makes such a change to be able to get out without getting drenched with rain. It looks like George had a fantastic time, Archie loves water too, hard to get him out. I love the terrier on the roof and I want one too.

  5. Thank you for taking us on your beautiful walk. We always had spaniels as a child and they would always head straight to any water they could find! That terrier on the roof is wonderful!
