Lyme Regis in November

After a few days of snow and as if by magic it all disappeared. This was the view that greeted us at Lyme on Monday! Look at that blue sky and the even darker blue sea! It was however absolutely freezing. The small shops that are usually open on the front were all closed up. They were very unlikely to make any money on the sale of ice-cream!

I saw this sign on a hat shop. I don't know how long it's been there but I can't remember seeing it before.

When in Lyme we normally walk along The Cobb. We started walking and got half way before deciding it was too, too cold and turned back towards the town.

Not a day to be following the advice on this sign! Even our daughter was silent on the issue of ice-cream!

No, no ice-creams today that's for sure!

A day to be wrapped up warm against the elements.

The fossil shaped street lights.

The towns clock. Look how long those shadows are which tells you how low in the sky the sun was even at 3.00 p.m.

Our daughter!

We decided to head back home and came across this pair of papier mache cats in a shop window.

Thankfully, this was not our mode of transport. It must be cold on a bicycle in this weather!

Until next time.

June.

  1. How lovely to see your pictures of one of my favorite places. You must enjoy the lack of people after the busy summer months.
